YOUR BEST NEXT ONLINE COURSE TYPE IS A:
LIVE ONLINE COURSE!

4 REASONS THE LIVE ONLINE COURSE IS FOR YOU:
1. CLARITY: You are clear and confident of your course content and you like the idea of getting feedback while delivering it live before recording it.
2. TESTING: You've tested your course concept with individuals and you’re ready to deliver it to groups.
3. TECH: You are confident you can do the minimal tech required to deliver your course live to a group.
4. DELIVERY: You prefer the flexibility, fun and customization possible with live delivery (plus, you know you can add recorded or 1:1 coaching components if you wish).
So What IS a Live Online Course?
A Live Online Course is an online course that's taught live, instead of being recorded first.
- You deliver the content live to your group of students, on a platform like Zoom.
- You may or may not have slides to share as you deliver your content.
- You may or may not have handouts or activities the students do between live sessions.
- With live delivery, especially on Zoom, you can encourage group participation and create a sense of community and belonging with the chat, unmuting students to let them ask or answer questions, and you can group people up for activities in Breakout Rooms.
- You can record your live sessions, so those who miss them, or want to watch and listen again can do that. (Once recorded, you can turn your Live Online Course into a Recorded Online Course.)
- If you chose, you can also include private coaching calls for your students.
There are lots of options you can choose from with a Live Online Course.
WHY OFFER A LIVE ONLINE COURSE (A LOC)?
Live Online Courses Can . . .
- EARN MORE, HELP MORE, CHARGE LESS. When you serve many with one course, you can make the investment lower, making your course available to more people. And, when you enroll more students, you can still earn more than your hourly rate. In fact, with an online course, there's no ceiling on what you can earn!
- QUICK TO DESIGN. Since no slides or recordings are needed (they are optional), a Live Online Course can be quicker and easier to design than a Recorded Online Course.
- CREATE COMMUNITY AND ENGAGEMENT. With a Live Group Online Course, you can create a sense of belonging, making your students especially love your courses, tell their friends about you, and come back for more.
- FUN TO TEACH. It can be lively, stimulating and fun to teach and learn in a Live Online Course.
- STUDENT INTERACTION. Your students will help each other and get more from the course. Taking a course in a group multiplies the value to everyone.
- GREAT TRANSITION TO RECORDED. If you’re planning to move toward a Recorded Online Course, a Live Online Course provides a great beginning.
- GET IT DONE. A Live Online Course can help you overcome the push to perfection that recording often triggers. If you’ve set Tuesday at 1pm as the time of class #1, you’ll deliver it!
- GET STUDENT FEEDBACK AS YOU GO. A Live Online Course provides a great way to get student feedback as you move through the course. This lets you get paid to practice, improving your course as you go.
- CHANGE LIVES. With an online course, you can make the world a better place, make a difference for people and our planet. You can change lives (yours too).
STORY TIME
Let's hear from someone who got great results with a LOC - Live Online Course.
"$9,000 . . . wow, I did that!"
. . . I'm more proud that I've created the course and that people are really being changed by that, and that I'm having such a good time doing it and that they like it.
That's what I'm proud of."
Darlene Frank, Course Creator

Natalie Hill
Since I'd been a teacher for 20 years, specializing in cooperative learning, creating an online course was natural for me.
But attracting buyers and making my course profitable were things I wasn't sure how to do (and they scared me too!).
I invested in a coach and an online course to teach me how to market an online course.
Using what I learned, I began with a High Impact Program (HIP), then moved up to a Live Online Course (LOC) and finally to Recorded Online courses (ROC).
I made over $57,000 on my first Live Online Course.
That showed me what was possible.
Since then, I've gone on to generate over a million dollars from online courses . . .
. . . and I've taught hundreds of others to do the same.
If you want that, I'd like to help you do that too.
WHAT ARE THE 3 ONLINE COURSE STYLES?
The 3 Online Course Styles are:
HIP - 1:1 High Impact Program
LOC - Live Online Course
ROC - Recorded Online Course
There are 3 basic types or styles of online courses.
Your quiz results pointed you toward one of these.
But here’s the thing.
No matter which online course type is your main one, you can include elements of the other 2 into it.
This is great news because:
- Blending course types can feel more creative, permissive and open (and less restrictive).
- You can bring all the things you value into your online course
- YOU CAN HAVE FUN and get to know your students with every type of online course
- You can create a collaborative community in all 3 types of online courses
- You can begin to record trainings to save your time and energy, even if you start with a 1:1 High Impact Program
3 ONLINE COURSE STYLES AND HOW YOU CAN MIX THEM UP (FOR GOOD)
The training below that I co-taught with my colleague Bill O'Hanlon, will give you more information about the 3 course types and how you can weave them together.
